The Golden Breath

With The Golden Breath, Aurore Michel-Grégoire offers a work with a double reading, inviting the viewer to change their point of view, both literally and figuratively. Designed to be displayed in either direction, the composition reveals two complementary interpretations, united by the same geometric style.

In a first orientation, the shape evokes a feather delicately placed in a vase. The ensemble suggests lightness, breath, and transmission. The quill becomes a symbol of thought, inspiration, and creative momentum, while the vase embodies grounding, stability, and the receiving material.

Inversely, the composition transforms into Stylised knight figure, vertical and structured. The pen then becomes a sword or a banner, and the work invokes notions of courage, protection and inner strength. The omnipresent gold acts as a common thread: it is simultaneously light, value and elevation.

Through this see-saw game, The Golden Breath explore the duality between gentleness and power, inspiration and action, fragility and determination. The work does not fix a single meaning, but offers an open experience, where each is free to orient the form, and their interpretation according to their sensitivity.
