In Rolls of cash, the silhouette takes shape in a dense, enveloping mass, almost saturated. The ink, applied in broad swathes, gives the body a heavy, charged presence, as if inhabited by an invisible excess.
The gestures are assertive, almost insistent, conveying an accumulation – of emotions, thoughts, experiences. Between grounding and constraint, the figure seems to carry what it holds within, oscillating between inner strength and the weight of the world. The work questions what we keep inside ourselves, what fills us as much as it can hold us back.
